Spring Bear Hunts (No Draw)
Units 25 & 33 South/Central Idaho
The area we will be baiting is in the South Fork of the Salmon River drainage and the Middle Fork of the Payette River. Our spring season runs from April 15 to May 31. The bear population in these units is quite strong, with colored bears dominant over blacks. Killing a brown, chocolate or cinnamon is probably easier than killing a black. The problem is snow in April and early May, so we will only offer 2 hunts for spring bear this year, during the last two weeks of May. The hunt will be 7-days long and cost $1500 plus your general license of $141.50 and a bear tag at $151.75. Hound hunts are also available during the same time for $2000.
The fall Season runs from August 30th through October 31st. No hound hunts will be offered during this period. This hunt is usually offered as a combination hunt with elk or deer but a bear hunt alone can be arranged.

If you want to see some beautiful country with opportunities to view other wildlife such as elk & deer, the spring hunt is neat. This is actually a pretty laid back hunt. Unless you are hunting with dogs, we post the evenings in tree stands. During the day, there are numerous things to do. Natural hot sprints are within walking distance from camp for bathing or just relaxing and there are several good places to fish for trout including Warm Lake.
