Bighorn Sheep Hunts (Draw hunt—10 permits)
Unit 42 Southwestern Idaho
Our Bighorn Sheep hunts are draw hunts and are probably some of the most unique sheep hunts in the country. These rams are located in the high desert country of Southwest Idaho. This is flat sagebrush country with deep canyons and no mountains within 30 miles. There are 10 permits in my unit for rams. Chances of you drawing are about 1 in 25 and changes from year to year. The hunt cost is $6000 and it's a 7-day, 1 on 1 hunt. Hunters should be in at least average condition and willing to walk.
Sheep applications will be out in early April and all applications must be received in the State Fish & Game office by April 30th to be eligible. With the proper fees, I'll handle your applications for you. This means I need a check for $141.50 for your
general license, which is non-refundable, and a check for $1759.50 by April 1st. You will then be notified by the IDFG by June 10th with a tag/permit if you drew or a refund check if you did not draw.
