Mountain Lion
Hunt Dates: Nov. 25th to Mar. 31st
We
usually have plenty of snow on the ground by the
end of the deer season. This makes for a great
opportunity to combine your deer hunt with a
mountain lion hunt. If we have the
snow, which is realistic, we can start our lion
hunt right after the deer season ends on Nov.
24th. Chances are good that we had already
spotted several lion tracks and are keeping a
watchful eye on their movements. |

The
hound-hunting season runs from Nov. 25th to the
end of March. Lion hunts are 7 days long and
cost $4500. Non-resident licenses run $154.75
and a Mountain Lion tag is $186.00.
These hunts really depend on snow conditions so
flexibility in scheduling dates is a must. But
hunting over hounds is a unique experience and
one that won't soon be forgotten. Plus, our
success rate with good conditions has been 100%
for as long as I can remember. The icing on the
cake is that we have probably taken more record
book lions than anyone in the last fifteen
years. |
