Summer Horse Camps
Make your child’s summer one they won’t forget by having them attend one of our 5-day overnight summer horse camps (Mon.-Fri.). We have 3 different types of camps to choose from.
Our base camp in Stolle Meadows consists primarily of five 12’ x 14’ sleeping tents and one large 20’ x 36’ cook cabin with outlying corrals, pastures, and tack tent.
Our sleeping tents have:

While staying at the base camp, your child will receive a well-rounded, hands-on learning experience with the horses. This includes grooming and saddling instructions, riding lessons, and, of course, numerous hours of riding time out on the trail. Other activities include swimming, volleyball, horseshoes, hiking, Dutch-oven cooking, and campfire activities. Helmets will be required for all participants 18 years old and under. If your child does not have a riding helmet, we have plenty available for them to use during their stay at camp.
Staff includes a cook, 4 state-licensed guides, and 2 wranglers. All camp personnel are certified in Standard First Aid and Adult/Child CPR. A first aid station is set up in the cook tent, and all guides carry a field kit in their saddlebags along with a two-way radio to communicate with base camp. In case of an emergency, the Cascade Hospital is only 40 minutes away, and Stolle Meadows is equipped with a helicopter pad if Life Flight is needed.
Regular Horse Camps
Regular Horse Camp is offered to children between the ages of 8-18. It is our most popular camp and caters to beginner/novice riders but is enjoyable for participants of all abilities. Camp size is limited to 20 participants per week.

Teen Week Camp
Teen Week camp is exactly like Regular Camp with the exception that it is strictly for teenagers between the ages of 13-18. It is offered only one week out of the summer and is limited to 20 participants. No horse experience is necessary.

Camp #6 - July 15-19
This camp is geared towards some of our older, more experienced riders and involves a 3-day pack trip amidst the most beautiful country the Boise National Forest has to offer. Participants will begin their horseback adventure in Stolle Meadows. Campers attending this week will learn how to take care of their horses outside the controlled atmosphere of the base camp. Also, they will learn how to set up camp, gather firewood and cook their own meals.
Camp #8 - July 29-Aug. 2 - Full
To attend this week, the camper must be at least 14 years old and have attended at least 2 prior camps with Juniper Mountain Outfitters. Being responsible and having a good work ethic are required to make the week go smoothly.
